Docker and community
Run Relay in a container
Pull the official image from Docker Hub and have a Relay server running in a minute. Then bring your questions and bug reports to the public community repository.
Official Docker image
stantialabs/relay is published on Docker Hub: a compact image of the Relay server for IoT, AI agents and real-time communication.
Pull the image
docker pull stantialabs/relay:1.0
Run it
docker run -d --name relay \ -p 1883:1883 -p 8883:8883 \ -p 4043:4043 -p 4044:4044 \ -p 5683:5683/udp \ -p 8080:8080 -p 9090:9090 \ -v relay-data:/var/lib/relay \ stantialabs/relay:1.0
Mount your own relay.toml at /etc/relay/relay.toml and certificates at /etc/relay/certs to configure listeners and TLS. Use a volume on /var/lib/relay to keep data across restarts.

- About 33 MB, so it pulls quickly on edge and CI nodes
- Currently published as tag 1.0; pin the tag, or the digest, in production
- The same protocols and transports as every other Relay deployment
Relay Community
relay-community is the public home for bug reports, feature requests, questions and feedback, run by Stantia Labs.
Before you open an issue
- Search the existing issues first.
- Include the exact image digest, not just the tag, plus your environment and logs.
- Never post credentials or internal URLs.
- Report security vulnerabilities privately through the contact page, not as a public issue.
Relay's source code is in a private repository, so the community repository is for discussion rather than code contributions. Licensed customers may get source access and dedicated support channels.
